The text is subtle and simplistic, creating a nice contrast with the background image. I decided to use this font in black and white as I felt it creates a strong variation within the album artwork, it's sort of splitting it down the middle in terms of traditional and contemporary/abstract, pleasantly simple and strikingly hectic - much like Justin's character.I've decided to design the case as a simple card wallet, for ease of production and for a more interesting style of packaging. I find these kinds of CD cases a far more intriguing and exclusive possession, I want the potential buyer to be attracted to it for it's individuality amongst the normal hard plastic cases on the music shelves - it's more like a little piece of art than a means of packaging. I also believe that the more rustic look is becoming more widely accepted and sought after in this industry, with people being persuaded to buy things they don't need because of the stylish and innovative form the product comes in. For example, despite the fact that my brother already owns the Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World dvd (below right), when I found the limited edition copy (below left) I bought it without hesitation due to the fact that it was so different and stylized, it felt like it was an essential to my DVD collection...this is the kind of reaction I want my choice of packaging to provoke.
